Free Poker Tournaments – The Biggest Deal Of All!
Thursday, 29. April 2010
Free poker tournaments are daily competitions that take place on a lot of the greatest online poker sites. Freerolls are much favored by the poker wagering community as they provide the poker competitors the ability to aquire some actual money without losing any. The entry to these freerolls is – as their titles suggests – free and jackpot money can vary from a handful of dollars for finishing near the top to hundreds of dollars for winning the big freeroll hold’em poker tournaments.
So why do the poker websites have free tournaments? Is it because of their extremely generous character and the reality that they acquire vast sums of $$$$$ so they feel a moral requirement to bestow some of it back?
What do you think!
No certainly it isn’t, the reason that the great poker websites provide free tournaments is to bring in people to their poker room.
Here’s the theory condensed – You hear that a poker site has an excellent freeroll, it charges you nothing to participate in and you will be able to come away with 100 dollars. You think "Great!" and you go along to the site and sign up as a member so that you can play the freeroll. You bet and finish quickly and are annoyed largely because you perceive you should have performed much better, or you go near the end and so you are looking for even more action. So what happens? You spend some cash at the poker room and compete in a different poker game!
Make sure to check the freerolls for cash-out requirements, you’ll almost always need to compete in a couple of hands for actual $$$$$ before they let you take the winnings out. Generally this is on a 1=1 basis, so if you come away with twenty dollars at the free poker tournament you will have to have gambled for 20 dollars in actual $$$$ in order for you to be able to claim the money.
