Distracting Players

Do you ever acquire that itch? The itch to gamble, to head to the nearest gambling den, to come across a good stakes game of Texas holdem, to sit at a Twenty-one table for hours on end. I love that itch. And I love to scratch it.
I also really like to watch individuals wager. No 2 poker faces seem identical. When I wager I like to assume I put on a poker face which is impassable. Except I know I have certain mannerisms. For one, the only time I smoke cigarettes is when I bet on poker or Black-jack. And then I chain smoke. Except I smoke no matter whether I am succeeding or losing, regardless of whether I have a great hand or bad.
I once bet in the weekly poker game. The casino game was constantly five card draw. There was a man who played with us just about every week who generally wore a hat. When he was dealt a beneficial hand, subconsciously, he would start touching and betting with his hat. Needless to say, he in no way won.
The very best poker gambler I ever saw was a guy who made far more actions and gestures at a poker table than anybody I had ever met. He was impeccable in the way he dressed. Generally an high priced suit and tie, boots shined and nails manicured. He was diligent in this manner. And he was generally brushing his pant leg or rubbings his hands or putting his chips in neat little piles.
I use to analyze him for hours on end. I would tried to see if I could spot his tell. Selecting lint off his vest- did this imply he was bluffing? Stacking his chips within a short pile – did this imply he had a good hand?
Years later I bumped into him in the bar in New York and we had a beer. I asked him if he have been aware of all those activities he made or if they were subconscious. He informed me that every individual thing he did at a poker table was intentional. He said that everybody is usually checking out everyone else’s poker face. They are attempting to detect the the tell.
So his technique was to provide them lots to consider about. His reasoning was if they were thinking about him picking a piece of fuzz off his coat and what it meant they certain weren’t pondering about their cards.
His method was diversion. And it worked for him. By no means give up a program that functions for you.
