Beyond a doubt millions of people strive to be the next "big thing" in poker, but here is a short rundown on 4 of the more well known "charming guys" of the game. Although "nice" is connected with their names when you are sitting accross the table from them it’s "no more Mr. Nice guy" up until they have put you out of the game!
Daniel Negreanu
In 2004, his competition winnings amounted to in the region of four and a half million dollars and he attained two highly admired awards in the WSOP Player of the Year and Cardplayer Magazine’s Tourney Player of the Year. In February Two Thousand and Six he was chosen Card Player’s Preferred Poker Player. Daniel even still has the humility to speak to his fans about how they can advance their own game.
Howard Lederer
Referred to as "The Professor" and sibling of fellow poker pro Annie Duke. His achievements have allowed him to make an instructional poker video called "Secrets of No Limit Hold’em" and also holding a tournament poker show for Fox TV. As of 2005, his total life time earnings exceed 2.7 million dollars.
Scotty Nguyen
Scotty is 1 of the most active players in professional poker and between Two Thousand to 2004 he finished in the money in well over one hundred events. He’s notorious for saying "yeah baby" during poker matches and also credited with the phrase "that’s poker baby" when referring to a particularly bad loss. As of Two Thousand and Six, his career earnings are just about six million dollars.
Chris Ferguson
Chris has won five WSOP titles with 2 of his wins coming in Two Thousand and Three. Chris has the alias "Jesus" because of his characteristic long hair and beard, along with his ability to throw cards fast enough to slice through bananas and pickles. As of Two Thousand and Five his total live poker tournament winnings exceeded five million dollars.
